Raetihi born Johnny Devlin was a New Zealand rock 'n roll legend in the late 50s, heavily inspired by the Elvis Presley phenomenon.
In just over a year (1958-1959) he released 10 singles, 4 EPs, an LP, and toured New Zealand in three jaunts -- not to mention hitting the headlines in every paper in the country. Johnny soon moved to Australia where he never lost his burning enthusiasm for rock 'n roll. In 2007, 50 years after his debut he was inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame. This compilation of his recordings is now available fully re-mastered to the highest quality and is accompanied by a superb 20-page booklet offering an insight into the Johnny Devlin story. This is truly collectible kiwi music!
