'Conscious Roots 5' is a sprawling 75-minute epic of NZ Roots based music. The sleeve art is a painting of one of this country's great leaders: Rua Kenana, the prophet and visionary spiritual leader of the Maori Tuhoe nation. This CD includes an ideal mix of commercial NZ tracks by the likes of Tika Taane, Katchafire, Cornerstone Roots, House of Shem and Tahuna Breaks as well as unreleased offerings from The Native Sons, Tenement Yard and Ska Child.
