2013 cd issue of the first two albums from New Zealand songwriting great Shona Laing - Whispering Afraid (1973) and Shooting Stars are Only Seen at Night (1974) + 3 bonus tracks. Insert features original album artwork plus notes by Shona. As a 17 year old schoolgirl in 1972 Shona reached the finals of TV talent show New Faces with her song 1905.She signed to Phonogram and recorded Whispering Afraid in 1972,then recorded her follow up 'Shooting Stars are Only Seen at Night' in Sydney in 1974 before heading to London for seven years.
