The Convairs story began in the Auckland suburb of Howick sometime during 1961. The trio starred in their own popular TV series entitled 'Give My Love An Apple' which proved successful enough to be followed by a second series, 'Convairs on Camera'. Two albums were released: CONVAIRS ON CAMERA and CONVAIRS. The Trio’s seventh '45' "Tomorrow Is A Long Time" was released in the UK in September 1966. The Record Mirror music magazine reviewed the single as "a charming and amusing version of the Dylan song, treated reverently and commended".
The Convairs disbanded in 1966 but the original line up still performs occasionally when all three members are in town.
