The Bads are Brett Adams & Dianne Swann.Brett originally played in the Mockers in the 1980s,Dianne in 'Everything that Flies' ,and later 'When the Cat's Away'.The pair have crafted the quite spectacularly good indie pop rock album 'Earth From Space', a collection of songs they have written together & separately, as The Bads.Returning to NZ after an amazing & sometimes stressful 10yr UK experience, The Bads feel a lot more relaxed about music & things in general, which is evident when listening to 'Earth From Space', a collection of songs which show a strength & maturity while showcasing a unique & timeless quality. This is simply beautiful music played wonderfully well by passionate musicians.The pair first started writing & playing together in The Julie Dolphin, in London in '92 & over the course of the past decade they've released EPs & an album, toured with the likes of Radiohead [Dianne guesting live with them], Oasis, Green Day & Catatonia, received play on Radio 1, XFM [UK] & college radio in the US eventually signing to Jerry Moss & Herb Alpert's ALMOS Sounds label, which unfortunately folded when Moss retired .
