Please note! This is a Kato Music release and is issued as a CD-R by Kato Music.Mr Kato writes....
4th album put out by Brother Love after three ventures on overseas labels.Recorded twixt Christchurch and Wellington over the '96-'99 period, and with a bevy of guests from the previous bands the brother has been in (AxelGrinders/Ape Management/Scuzzbuckets/Space Dust). What ya get is a psychedelic fuzzfest that drifts between lo-fi garage glam to psychedelic folk ballads....basement Neil Young and Dylan-isms abound but there is no denying the solid songwriting the Brother possesses...by rights this should be a Flying Nun classic...the Velvets bent, the Alex Chilton damaged powerpop, the fiercely hook-ridden fuzz guitar...you dig the classic early F/Nun cattylog? Then ya should be owning a copy of this severely under-rated album...
