In 2010 ‘That’s Country’ returns after nearly three decades on a dvd & cd set. This show was undoubtedly one of NZ’s highest rating and much loved live music shows – screening at prime time on Saturday nights it ran for an impressive 8 years from 1976. In its final year it went international, screening on Nashville’s country music cable network. Filmed entirely on location in the Christchurch Town Hall and hosted by entertainer Ray Columbus the show featured the cream of New Zealand’s country music scene as well as regularly playing host to stars from the USA and Australia. Features 22 memorable performances including the classic show opening and closing themes as well as the regular favourite “The Rockabilly Medley”, where the cast and backing group came together to pay tribute to the Rock’n’Roll greats.
