David Mulcahy has been writing and recording music since the early 1980's. As a member of the Jean Paul Sartre Expereience and Superette, he has gathered a back catalog of 4 albums, 2 EPs, a bunch of singles and many memorable videos. In early 1998 Dave left Superette to embark on a solo recording project at Arch Hill Recording Studios. This developed into his first solo album 'Oddy Knocky'. Encouraged by the response to his acoustic song 'Waves' taken from the Superette album 'Tiger' he concentrated on recording simple melodic songs in a more intimate or personal style. Although largely an acoustic album, it contains experimentations with electronica, a style of music that Dave has tinkered with for some time.

***** "Oddy Knocky is a generous sixteen tracks (not one of them a filler) of simple melodies, gorgeous harmonies, and Mulcahy’s sweet and often haunting vocals. Most of the songs are warm, understated gems, with the occasional guitar jangler thrown in to add musical texture and recollections of his old bands."
